Please continue to pray for our Vinnytsia team (Vadim & Nika) were in Kherson today helping with aid and evacuation because of the flooding after the ru*zians blew up the Nova Khahovka dam.  Picture Below.  They were shelled this morning (their afternoon), they fled on foot and were later able to get back to the ministry van and leave the city.  Several civilians and a police officer were killed at the location they fled.  ru*zia continues to shell the evacuation efforts on the right bank of the river.

Pray for Ukraine. The fallout from the Nova Khahovka dam will be catastrophic for years to come.

Resilience in Ukraine

We have great hope for 2023, for what Chosen Generation can continue to accomplish in Ukraine & beyond.  We continue to serve in full capacity in Ukraine, however as we are displaced in Tennessee this obviously looks quite different.

Family Update:

We recently celebrated the national day of the Vishivanka! Here is a picture of us looking beautiful, in our traditional Ukrainian clothes. As we finished preschool and school this year, we are grateful to be united after Daniel‘s trip to Ukraine at the beginning of May.

Daniel’s trip back to Ukraine was less safe than when he went in December, but no less productive: He taught Amos & Habakkuk and a prophets seminar in a seminary, (as well as a bonus surprise day of lecture where he taught “how to prepare and present”) … he then quickly went to visit our team in Vinnytsia also, to check on the humanitarian aid distribution, and on our team.

Join our daughters in daily praying for our brave soldiers:

This is a picture of Yura Yahotin.  He translated for our last Discipleship Training School (university missionary training) that we ran in Vinnytsia and is a godly man with a wife and dog who is a artist by profession.  He joined up last fall, and was wounded on the front this spring, he is awaiting his second surgery to remove shrapnel from his feet. Please pray for him.

We know many, godly Christian men like Yura who are defending Ukraine right now.  The month of May was rough for Ukraine as the ru*zians continued to bomb civilians all over the country in order to test the western air defence systems that have been delivered.  Daniel only experienced two weeks of this and it again prompted us to urgently stand with strong prayers for Ukraine that it would be resilient.

‼️📢 Air Raid Sirens 🚨📢 in Ukraine:

The phrase “Air Raid” literally translated from Ukrainian is “Anxiety from Air”.

Anxiety is a negatively coloured emotion that expresses a feeling of uncertainty, anticipation of negative events, and difficult to define premonitions. Or is an emotion which is characterised by an unpleasant state of inner turmoil and includes feelings of dread over anticipated events. Anxiety is different than fear in that the former is defined as the anticipation of a future threat whereas the latter is defined as the emotional response to a real threat.

Lately our ru*zian neighbours are sharing anxiety every night around 1 am and at 5 am.  This has a wear on the people, many are exhausted, as mentioned before, Daniel was only there 2 weeks and exhausted, imagine 16 months of neighbourly anxiety.  Pray for resilience.
