Although we were planing to spend a couple of weeks in Croatia, as mentioned in our last update. We were uninformed about the requirements for Ukrainians entering the country. We thought that we could get a Visa at the border, but as of this year it must be only applied for in a Croatian Consulate. Unfortunately our Ukrainian students had already been in Bosnia long enough that leaving the country on time was legally required. And because of holidays the Consulates were not open in time for us to open Visas.
This meant that we had to fly back to Ukraine with Zhenya and Katya, our two Ukrainian students while the rest of our team went on to Croatia. This is sad, and regrettably was very expensive. However, we feel that we tried to walk through every possible door we could to get to Croatia, and God closed the doors. We’ve felt peace every time a door was closed that we were walking forward in what we knew, that the Lord is with us. We know for next time we send a team to Central Europe the laws of the land, and we are honored to be a part of the ‘Scouting/Pioneering’ that the Lord chose us to be doing.
Please continue to pray for the remaining 5 of our team in Croatia, that the Lord would continue to use them powerfully for His kingdom.
